The Path to Founding El Shaddai Ministries
Before establishing El Shaddai Ministries, Apostle McElveen faithfully served under the leadership of Bishop Michael D. Densmore at Community Tabernacle of Deliverance Church. Over the course of 12 years, he transitioned from Sunday School Superintendent to Head of the Men’s Department and Deacon—an invaluable period of spiritual growth that prepared him for a pastoral calling of his own.
During this season, God began stirring Apostle McElveen’s heart, unveiling a greater purpose: to reach a broader community with the transformative power of the Gospel. Motivated by this vision, he founded El Shaddai Ministries in Norwalk, Connecticut, inspired by the Hebrew name “El Shaddai,” meaning “The Many-Breasted One” or “The God of More Than Enough.” From the outset, his mission was to build a church that would both feed the flock and share God’s abundance with people far beyond its walls.
